I was introduced to the art of glass beads in March 2007

I originally had no interest in glass at all.  An afternoon class of glass bead-making was just a way to kill some time... who knew it would become an obsession.  Prior to hot glass, my mediums of choice were oils, acrylic, scratchboard, gouache and ink.  These will all have to take a back seat for the time being.

I began beadmaking with a hothead torch and MAPP gas.  I graduated to using a cricket torch run on  propane and oxygen (via an oxygen concentrator) and then to a Scorpion torch with foot pedal.  I am looking forward to doing more sculptural work and releasing my visions in glass and fine metals.
